Xenadyne SNMP Proxy Agent

The SNMP Proxy Agent is used to enable SNMP access to network elements that do not have built-in support for SNMP. The Proxy Agent can mediate (translate) between SNMP and diverse ASCII and binary management protocols, using the Xenadyne Mediator technology. The SNMP Proxy Agent is capable of proxying SNMP requests on behalf of multiple network elements, and these network elements can use any mix of native management protocols.

The SNMP Proxy Agent is configured using Xenadyne's Network Element Description Language (NEDL), so there is no need to code in C or Java. The Proxy Agent product includes a complete suite of NEDL development tools, including:

NEDL Compiler  - Validate NEDL files for correctness and consistency.
MIB Generator  - Create SNMP MIBs automatically from the NEDL file.
TSL - Interactive scripting tool for testing NEDL files.
NESIM - NEDL-driven network element simulator.
